A Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) course is a training program that teaches you
how to draw blood from patients for various medical purposes, such as testing, transfusion,
or donation. Phlebotomy technicians are also known as phlebotomists, and they work in hospitals,
clinics, blood banks, and laboratories. A CPT course covers topics such as anatomy and physiology
of the circulatory system, infection control and safety, blood collection equipment and techniques,
specimen handling and processing, and quality assurance. A CPT course also prepares you to take the
certification exam offered by the National Health career Association (NHA) or other organizations.
A CPT certification can demonstrate your competence and professionalism in the phlebotomy field.
