About Course

A Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) course is a training program that teaches you how to draw blood from patients for various medical purposes, such as testing, transfusion, or donation. Phlebotomy technicians are also known as phlebotomists, and they work in hospitals, clinics, blood banks, and laboratories. A CPT course covers topics such as anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system, infection control and safety, blood collection equipment and techniques, specimen handling and processing, and quality assurance. A CPT course also prepares you to take the certification exam offered by the National Health career Association (NHA) or other organizations. A CPT certification can demonstrate your competence and professionalism in the phlebotomy field.

Eligibilities

you need to meet the following eligibility criteria: You must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must complete an approved phlebotomy training program within the past five years or have one year of full-time clinical experience in a health services field. You must pass a national certification exam, such as the one offered by the National Performance Specialists (NPS) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
