About Course

A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) course is a training program that prepares you to perform both clinical and administrative tasks in various healthcare settings under the supervision of a physician. A CMA course covers topics such as anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, infection control, medical law and ethics, and more. A CMA course also prepares you to take the certification exam offered by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), which is one of the most recognized and respected credentials in the medical assisting field.

Eligibilities

To become a CMA, you need to meet the following eligibility criteria: You must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must complete a medical assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) within the last five years or have at least one year of work experience in this field. You must pass a national certification exam offered by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
